How To Install a Rubber Speed Hump
-
First, What is a Speed Hump?

A speed hump is a rounded parabolic device installed on the road surface to help reduce vehicle speed and volume on residential roads. Many variations are available, from traditional asphalt or concrete to more recently designed rubber solutions.
-
The Safety Rider Mini Hump (manufactured by GNR Technologies) is a unique module device consisting of interlocking units with a tongue and groove system. Users have the ability to customize the length of the product to fit any roadway. Manufactured from 100% recycled rubber, they are preformed to ensure a uniform and consistent profile. What's the Difference Between a Speed Hump and Speed Bump?

Unlike a speed bump, the Safety Rider Mini Hump does not require vehicles to come to an abrupt stop and can be used on private / residential roadways and in parking facilities. The mini hump reduces speeds to 10 - 15 MPH, while a speed bump is intended to slow vehicle speeds to 2 - 5 MPH (this is only an approximation).
